<br /> 42 <br /> RESOLUTION 1984-8R <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT ELECTION <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS AND THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED <br /> INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE HOLDING OF <br /> AN ELECTION ON APRIL 7, 1984; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT <br /> ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, hereby finds and determines that it is in the best <br /> interest of said City for the City to cooperate with the San <br /> 1'1arcos Consolidated Independent School District in the <br /> holding of the general city election on April 7, 1984; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said School District is willing to participate <br /> in the holding of a joint election on that date. now, <br /> therefore, , <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the Joint Election Agreement between the <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas and the San Marcos Consolidated <br /> Independent School District for the holding of the general <br /> city election of April 7, 1984, a copy of which agreement is <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and <br /> purposes, is hereby approved in all respects. <br /> PART 2. That the Mayor of said City, Emmie Craddock, is <br /> hereby authorized to execute said Joint Election Agreement on <br /> behalf of the City of San Marcos. <br /> PART 3. That this resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately from and after its passage. <br /> ADOPTED this <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> s K. Womack <br /> City Secretary <br />
