<br /> RESOLUTION 1984-17 110 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br /> CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE BETWEEN <br /> SAID CITY AND THE SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE, <br /> AN AGENCY OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF <br /> AGRICULTURE,FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BASIC <br /> RECREATIONAL FACILITY ALONG THE SAN MARCOS <br /> RIVER IN SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF <br /> SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF <br /> OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Flood Control <br /> Act of 1944, the City of San Marcos, Texas and the Soil <br /> Conservation Service, an agency of the United States <br /> Department of Agriculture, agreed to a work plan for the <br /> Upper San Marcos River Watershed; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said work plan provides in part for the <br /> construction of a basic recreational facility along said <br /> river; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> j\1ARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the terms and conditions contained in that <br /> Agreement For Service between the Soil Conservation Service, <br /> an agency of the united States Department of Agriculturê, and <br /> said City, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, for the <br /> construction of a basic recreational facility along the San <br /> Marcos River, are hereby approved. <br /> PART 2. That the Mayor of said city be, and she is <br /> hereby, authorized to execute said Agreement For Service on <br /> the form attached hereto on behalf of said City. <br /> PART 3.
