<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1978-
<br /> 43 WHICH DETERMINED APPROPRIATIONS FOR REVENUE
<br /> SHARING ENTITLEMENT NO. 10; AMENDING ORDINANCE
<br /> 1982-41, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 7, 1982, WHICH SET
<br /> FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF
<br /> CONDUCTING EACH ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE
<br /> MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL
<br /> YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1982, AND ENDING ON
<br /> SEPTEMBER 30, 1983, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR
<br /> THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE
<br /> TO REVISE SAID ESTI.f\ßTES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE
<br /> SAID FUNDS; ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTI~ßTES
<br /> AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br /> WHEREAS, after notice and public hearing, on September 13,
<br /> 1978, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, by
<br /> Ordinance 1978-43 adopted the budget for said City for the fiscal
<br /> year beginning October 1, 1978, and ending on September 30, 1979;
<br /> and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget determined appropriations for funds
<br /> received as Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 10; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said City Council finds and determines that a public
<br /> necessity exists which requires reappropriation of the funds from
<br /> Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 10; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after publication of notice, on August 6, 1982,
<br /> the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a public
<br /> hearing on August l6, 1982, on the budget proposed by the City
<br /> Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1,
<br /> 1982; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br /> were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br /> or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearings to consider proposed uses of
<br /> Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14 funds were held on August
<br /> 2, 1982, and August 16, 1982; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearings, the City Council of
<br /> the City of ;S~n Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said city
<br /> for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982, and ending
<br /> September 30, 1983, on September 7, 1982; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br /> expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br /> said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds
<br /> and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br /> Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br /> declares that a public necessity exists, which requires amend-
<br /> ment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1978-43, adopted September
<br /> 13, 1978, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br /> of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal govern-
<br /> ment of said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1978,
<br /> and ending on September 30, 1979, and appropriated money for the
<br /> various funds and purposes of such estimate, and which appropriated
<br /> funds from Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 10,be amended as set
