<br /> 13 <br /> ORDINANCE 1983-12 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING SECTION 33-8 <br /> OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF SAN ~ßRCOS, <br /> TEXAS, TO INCREASE THE FEES CHARGED BY PARTIC- <br /> IPATING CO~1MERCIAL TOWING AND WRECKER SERVICES <br /> FOR TOWS AUTHORIZED BY THE SAN ~IARCOS POLICE <br /> DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION l. That Section 33-8 of the Code of Ordinances, <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Sec. 33-8. Fees. <br /> Each participating commercial towing and wrecker <br /> service shall be limited in the fees it charges for <br /> tows authorized by the San Marcos Police Department. <br /> Such fees shall be no more than: <br /> (1) Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) for any tow <br /> within the city limits. <br /> (2) Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) plus one dollar <br /> ($1. 00) per mile for any tow authorized out- <br /> side the city limits. <br /> (3) Fifty dollars ($50.00) for any tow where <br /> dollies are required. <br /> (4) Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per hour for <br /> labor if additional labor is required other <br /> than a normal tow. <br /> (5) Three dollars ($3.00) per day for first <br /> five (5) days for storage fees. Five <br /> dollars ($5.00) per day for storage fees <br /> after the first five days. <br /> SECTION 2.
