13 ORDINANCE 1983-12 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING SECTION 33-8 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF SAN ~ßRCOS, TEXAS, TO INCREASE THE FEES CHARGED BY PARTIC- IPATING CO~1MERCIAL TOWING AND WRECKER SERVICES FOR TOWS AUTHORIZED BY THE SAN ~IARCOS POLICE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION l. That Section 33-8 of the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 33-8. Fees. Each participating commercial towing and wrecker service shall be limited in the fees it charges for tows authorized by the San Marcos Police Department. Such fees shall be no more than: (1) Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) for any tow within the city limits. (2) Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) plus one dollar ($1. 00) per mile for any tow authorized out- side the city limits. (3) Fifty dollars ($50.00) for any tow where dollies are required. (4) Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per hour for labor if additional labor is required other than a normal tow. (5) Three dollars ($3.00) per day for first five (5) days for storage fees. Five dollars ($5.00) per day for storage fees after the first five days. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten days from and after its passage and publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the area. PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading February 14, 1983.
