<br /> 73 <br /> ORDINANCE 1983-18 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING OR- <br /> DINANCE 1980-37 WHICH DETE~INED APPROPRIA- <br /> TIONS FOR REVENUE SHARING ENTITLEMENT 12; <br /> ADOPT:DNG SAID REAPPROPRIATIONS AND <br /> DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> '."'.'; <br /> ,I~.,.,J <br /> (iJit).EAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, after notice and public hearing, adopted the budget <br /> for said city for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980 <br /> and ending September 30, 1981, by Ordinance 1980-37 on <br /> September 8, 1980; and, <br /> WHEREAS, that budget appropriated funds contained in <br /> Revenue Sharing Entitlement 12; and, <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 in the City <br /> Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council <br /> declares that a public necessity exists which requires amend- <br /> ment of said Ordinance 1980-37; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1980-37 adopted September 8, <br /> 1980, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense of <br /> conducting each administrative unit of the municipal govern- <br /> ment of said city for the fiscal year beginning October 1, <br /> 1980, and ending on September 30, 1981, and appropriated money <br /> for the various funds and purposes of such estimate, be amended <br /> as set forth in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated <br /> herein for all intents and purposes. <br /> SECTION 2. That the reappropriations of Revenue Sharing <br /> Entitlement 12 as shown on the said Exhibit A are hereby approved <br /> and adopted. <br /> SECTION 4. That the importance of this Ordinance creates <br /> an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the <br /> provisions of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be <br /> read at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall <br /> become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days <br /> following the date of its final passage be suspended, and <br /> these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance <br /> shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and <br /> after its adoption and publication in a newspaper of general <br /> circulation within the City. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of April, <br /> 1983. <br /> Emmie Craddock <br /> Mayor <br /> ~ðð-~ <br /> Janis K.
