<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br /> CITY OF SAN ~ffiRCOS, TEXAS, AHENDING OR-
<br /> DINANCE 1982-41, ADOPTED SEPTm1BER 7,
<br /> 1982, WHICH SET FORTH AN ITE~n ZED ESTHffiTE
<br /> OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMIN-
<br /> ISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT
<br /> OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING:
<br /> OCTOBER 1, 1982, AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 3 Cf\;
<br /> 1983, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOa~ þÞ
<br /> FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE TO REvi, J3::q
<br /> SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID F~D5;
<br /> ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIlffiTES AND
<br /> DECLARING AN EFFEC'I'IVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, after publication of notice, on August 6, 1982,
<br /> the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br /> public hearing on August 16, 1982, on the budget proposed
<br /> by the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br /> October 1, 1982; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br /> were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br /> or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearings to consider proposed uses of
<br /> Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14 funds were held on August
<br /> 2, 1982, and August 16, 1982; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearings, the City Council
<br /> of the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said
<br /> city for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982, and ending
<br /> September 30, 1983, on September 7, 1982; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br /> expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br /> said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds and
<br /> purposes of such estimate; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br /> Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br /> declares that a public necessity exists, which requires amend-
<br /> ment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO~CIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1982-4l, adopted September
<br /> 7, 1982, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br /> of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal govern-
<br /> ment of said city for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982,
<br /> and ending on September 30, 1983, and appropriated money for
<br /> the various funds and purposes of such estimate, be, and the
<br /> same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A which is
<br /> attached hereto and is incorporated herein, in words and figures
<br /> as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.
<br /> SECTION 2. That the said revisions ahd reappropriations
<br /> which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Harcos,
<br /> Texas, for the fiscal year 1982-83 beginning October 1, 1982,
<br /> and ending on September 30, 1983, be, and the same are hereby,
<br /> approved and adopted.
<br /> SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten
<br /> days from and after its passage and publication in a newspaper
<br /> of general circulation in the area.
