That Chapter 12, entitled "Garbage and Trash" <br /> of the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, Texas, is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> Chapter 12 <br /> Garbage and Rubbish <br /> Sec. 12-1. Short title. <br /> This Chapter shall be known and may be cited as <br /> the "Garbage and Rubbish Ordinance of the City of <br /> San Marcos, Texas". <br /> Sec. 12-2. Definitions. <br /> For the purposes of this Chapter the following <br /> terms, phrases, words and their derivations shall <br /> have the meaning given herein. When not inconsistent <br /> with the context, words used in the present tense <br /> include the future, words in the plural number in- <br /> clude the singular number, and words in the singular <br /> number include the plural number. The word "shall" <br /> is always mandatory and not merely directory. <br /> a. Bags- Plastic sacks designed to store refuse <br /> with sufficient wall strength to maintain <br /> physical integrity when lifted by the top. <br /> Total weight of a bag and its contents shall <br /> not exceed 35 Ibs. <br /> b. Bin- Metal receptacle designed to be lifted <br /> and emptied mechanically for use only at <br /> commercial and industrial units. <br /> c. Bulky Waste- Stoves, refrigerators, water <br /> tanks, washing machines, furniture and other <br /> waste materials other than construction debris, <br /> dead animals, hazardous waste or stable matter, <br /> with weights or volumes greater than those <br /> allowed for bins or containers, as the case <br /> may be. <br /> d. Bundle- Tree; shrub and brush trimmings or <br /> newspapers and magazines securely tied to- <br /> gether forming an easily handled package not <br /> exceeding four feet in length or 50 Ibs. in <br /> weight. <br /> e. City- City of San Marcos, Texas. <br />
