<br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. (Mr.
<br />Guerra present at 7:38 p.m.).
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an
<br />appointment of a Master Plumber to the Plumbing Board of
<br />Adjustments and Appeals to complete a vacancy. Mr. Moore moved
<br />to appoint Gary Windham, Master Plumber, and Mayor Morris
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an
<br />appointment to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals to
<br />complete a vacancy. Mr. Brown moved to appoint Susan Tilka and
<br />Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Ms.
<br />Tilka will serve as Alternate No. 2 and Gerald Farr will move up
<br />to Alternate No. 1 position.
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of eight
<br />appointments to the Main Street Advisory Board. Mr. Plummer
<br />moved to reappoint Kathy Morris, Jim Gandy, Gwen Smith, Betsy
<br />Martindale, Lunelle Anderson and Kerry Rash and Mr. Hernandez
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mayor Morris
<br />abstaining from her appointment and advising the Council that
<br />Bill Plummer was serving as her designee). The remaining
<br />appointments will be rescheduled for May 8. Mrs. Franks advised
<br />the Council the Board would be making a recommendation to change
<br />the residence requirements of members of the Board.
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an
<br />appointment to the Commission for Women to complete a vacancy.
<br />Mr. Guerra moved to appoint Chandrika Amin and Mr. Plummer
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration an appointment by Mr.
<br />Guerra to the Mayor's Conservation Committee (temporary). Mr.
<br />Guerra moved to appoint Pam Dever and Mr. Moore seconded the
<br />motion, which passed unanimously.
