30 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JUNE 12, 1989 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tern Rick Hernandez Council Members Billy G. Womack Acting City Attorney Gayle Grassle Director of Public Works George Boeker Director of Airport Jack Doughty Director of Parks and Recreation Rodney Cobb Director of Finance Donna Farley Police Chief Myron Galchutt Also Present: John Holterman, Patty Wenk, Jane Hughson, Richard Dotson, Nina Pryatel, Melissa Millecam, Rose Brooks, Leslie Spears, Jenny Kile, Jack Lindstrom, Charles Willis, John Anderson, Dan Gibson, Katherine Smith, Anna Farr, Nick Caruso, John Morrisset, B. J. Hageman, R. G. Phillips, Joe Searcey, Rachel Vasquez, Don Anders and others. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Senior Citizens Advisory Board. Mr. Guerra moved to table the appointment to the June 26 Council Meeting and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three appoinments to the Cemetery Commission. Mayor Morris moved to reappoint W. C. Carson, reappoint Theodora Scrutchin and reappoint Joe Nicola and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Commission for Minorities. Mayor Morris moved to reappoint Nelvia Burleson and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Ramona Rodriguez and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. On roll call the Council voted unanimously to reappoint Nelvia Burleson and appoint Ramona Rodriguez. The other two appointments will be rescheduled for the June 26, 1989 Meeting. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Commission for Women. Mr. Guerra moved to reappoint Trini Smith and reappoint Francile Blue. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Becky Sierra. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Beth Wolpman. The Council voted unanimously to reappoint Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Blue and to appoint Mrs. Sierra and Ms. Wolpman. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Ethics Review Commission. Mayor Morris moved to reappoint Fraye Stokes and appoint Lynn Majors and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion. Mr. Plummer moved to appoint David Elliott and Mayor Morris seconded the motion. On roll call the Council voted unanimously for the reappointment of Mrs. Stokes and the appointments of Ms. Majors and Mr. Elliott. The remaining appointment will be rescheduled for June 26, 1989. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the City's three appointments to the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Committee. Mayor Morris moved to reappoint Donna Swinney, Peggy Byas and Nancy Ellis and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. The * Ms. Kissler was not present at this meeting.
