60 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JULY 10, 1989 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tern Rick Hernandez Council Members * Billy G. G. Phillips and others. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission to complete a vacancy. Mr. Guerra moved to table the appointment to the July 24 Regular Meeting and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Commission for Women to complete vacancies. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Kathy Fite and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Orpha Bazan and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the Council voted unanimously for approval of these appointments. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Main Street Advisory Board. Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Lupe Carbajahl and Bryan Hoot and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Commission for Minorities to complete a vacancy. Mr. Guerra moved to table the appointment to the July 24 Regular Meeting and Mr. Hart seconded the fuotion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of five appointments to the Charter Review Commission. Mr. Guerra moved to reappoint Bill Stouffer and to appoint John Wade and Mayor Morris seconded the motion. Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Merry FitzPatrick and Mayor Morris seconded the motion. Mr. Hart moved to appoint Randy Rogers and Mayor Morris seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Becky Sierra and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the Council voted unanimously for the reappointment of Bill Stouffer and the appointments of John Wade, Merry FitzPatrick, Randy Rogers and Becky Sierra. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration three appointments to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mayor Morris moved to reappoint Brenda Smith and appoint Celia Morgan and Mr. Guerra * Mr. Moore was not present at this meeting.
