Hopkins - Texas Open Meetings Act Workshop <br />630 East Hopkins <br />San Marcos, TX 78666 <br />City Council Chambers <br />With a quorum present, the workshop of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 6:04 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the City Council Chambers, <br />630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Council Member Thomaides was absent due to illness. <br />Present: 6 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member Ryan Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern <br />Shane Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather, Council Member Lisa Prewitt and <br />Council Member Jane Hughson <br />Absent: 1 - Council Member John Thomaides <br />':00 PM <br />1. Receive a presentation and hold discussion regarding the Texas Open Meetings Act. <br />William M "Mike" McKamie, of McKamie Krueger, LLP, provided a presentation regarding the <br />Texas Open Meetings Act to the City Council. Also present to provide additional information <br />was David A. Escamilla, Travis County Attorney. No direction was provided during this <br />workshop. <br />III. Adjournment. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Prewitt, seconded by Mayor Pro-Tern Prather, that this <br />be adjourned. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 0 <br />Absent: 1 - Council Member Thomaides <br />i ee Pettijohn, Ity Clerk <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />Dar lel Guerirer , Mayor <br />
