Hankins <br />Gilley <br />Farley <br /> <br />Also Present: Mark Hendricks, Bill Newman, Jorge Rodriguez, Don Hen- <br />derson, Robert Wynn, Brian McCabe, Ricky Hernandez, Melissa Millecam, <br />Ross Allegro and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger moved Item 4 to this point on the agenda, to consider <br />approval of appointment of Chief Municipal Court Judge and approval <br />of salary for such position. Mayor Younger moved that Ross Allegro <br />be appointed Chief Municipal Court Judge with his salary to be set at <br />$32,000 annually and a $75.00 per month car allowance and Mr. Coddington <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on <br />emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, COMBINATION TAX AND REVEN- <br />UE REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 1987, IN THE AGGREGATE <br />PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $6,685,000, FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />REFUNDING OUTSTANDING CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION; <br />PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF SAID BONDS; PROVIDING FOR <br />THE SECURITY FOR AND PAYMENT OF SUCH BONDS; AWARD- <br />ING THE SALE THEREOF; APPROVING THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT; <br />ENACTING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT OF <br />THIS ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. [AMOUNT <br />AMENDED TO $6,680,000] <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Ms. Kissler <br />seconded the motion (Mr. Brown present 5:30 p.m.). Mr. Bill Newman of <br />First Southwest Company advised the Council they had gone to market <br />on Monday, March 30, 1987 and secured a bond sale in the amount of <br />$6,680,000, with a net savings to the City of $293,323.00. Mr. Rick <br />Fisher read into the record the amendments and corrections to the <br />Ordinance, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes. Mayor Younger <br />moved to amend the Ordinance to add the wording as read into the record <br />by Mr. Fisher and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call the fol- <br />lowing vote was recorded (Mr. Nicola present to vote on this item 5:55p~.): <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, <br />NAY: None. <br />ABSTAIN: Nicola. <br /> <br />Coddington, Farr, Younger, Kissler. <br /> <br />* Mr. Brown present at 5:30 p.m. <br />** Messrs.
