Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the Pre - Budget workshop meeting of the San Marcos City Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Guerrero at 5:39 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the City Council <br />Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666, <br />II. Roll Call <br />Mayor Pro Tern Prather was absent. <br />Present: 6 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member John Thomaides, Council Member Ryan <br />Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Shane Scott, Council Member Lisa Prewitt <br />and Council Member Jane Hughson <br />Absent: 1 - Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather <br />1. Receive a Staff presentation and update regarding Fiscal Year 2013 -2014, current <br />trends for Fiscal Year 2014 -2015, and discuss the preliminary budget for Fiscal Year <br />2015 -2016, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Heather Hurlbert, Finance Director, led a discussion and provided a presentation to Council <br />regarding Fiscal Year 2013 -2014, current trends for Fiscal Year 2014 -2015, preliminary budget for <br />Fiscal Year 2015 -2016. The Council requested that Staff provided information regarding the <br />downtown TIRZ, a total sidewalk investment summary and update, include a tax rate <br />comparisons chart to see similar cities trends as well, and have the Citizens Utility Advisory <br />Board look at the rate stabilization fund. <br />III. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. <br />None. <br />IV. Adjournment. <br />A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, seconded by Council Member Thomason, <br />that the pre- budget workshop meeting of the San Marcos City Council be adjourned at 7:40 p.m. <br />The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 6- Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, Council Member Prewitt and Council Member <br />Hughson <br />Against: 0 <br />Absent: 1 - Mayor Pro -Tem Prather <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
