G. <br />Phillips, John Diaz, Collette Boruff, Melissa Millecam, Karen Smith, <br />Kim McCollum, Jim Green, Jake Sullivan, Terry Jester and others. <br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Morris introduced the canvassing of the returns of the General <br />and Special Election held May 2, 1992. The Council canvassed the <br />returns of the election. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL <br /> AND GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 2, 1992 FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> ELECTING A MAYOR, A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE ONE, AND A CITY <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE TWO, AND SUBMITTING TO THE VOTERS VARIOUS <br /> PROPOSITIONS INCLUDING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY CHARTER <br /> AND A PROPOSED LEASE OF CITY PARK PROPERTY TO THE GREATER SAN <br /> MARCOS LITTLE LEAGUE, INC.; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Hernandez seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend the <br />Ordinance in Section 3 as follows: "A. Kathy ~ Morris, B. Ronald <br />~ Hart, C. Fred Guerra, Proposition 1 - For 1,220, Against 509, <br />Proposition 2 - For 496, Against 1,279, Proposition 3 - For 1,226, <br />Against 477, Proposition 4 - For 1,365, Against 409, Proposition 5 - <br />For 1,057, Against 670, Proposition 6 - For 1,345, Against 376, <br />Proposition 7 - For 1,110, Against 597, Proposition 8 - For 1,205, <br />Against 464, Proposition 9 - For 1,218, Against 514, Proposition 10 <br />- For 1,197, Against 490, Proposition 11 - For 1,175, Against 517, <br />Proposition 12 - For 1,318, Against 381, Proposition 13 - For 1,255, <br />Against 433, Proposition 14 - For 1,133, Against 524, Proposition 15 <br />- For 1,138, Against 479, Proposition 16 - For 1,189, Against 447, <br />Proposition 17 - For 1,104, Against 593, Proposition 18 - For 1,262, <br />Against 401," and Section 4 to read" . . . Propositions Nos. 1 and <br />~ through 17, inclusive, having passed, such amendments. . ."~ and <br />Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The <br />Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on <br />emergency. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF BOND <br /> ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON MAY 2, 1992; CONTAINING OTHER <br /> PROVISIONS INCIDENT AND RELATED TO THE PURPOSE HEREOF; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Hernandez seconded the motion.
