28 r MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MARCH 6, 1995 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tern * Fred Guerra Council Members Billy G. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced the ten-minute citizen comment period with the city Council. No one signed up to speak. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Senior citizens ,Advisory Board. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Alice Morgan and Mr. Moore moved to appoint Al Borm. On roll call the following vote was recorded: MORGAN: Mooney, Hart, Morris, Cox. BORM: Moore, Hernandez. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1994-1995 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE SAN MARCOS PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Hart, Morris, Cox, Hernandez. NAY: Mooney. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 5, BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND RELATED ACTIVITIES, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE FOR CITY REGULATION OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS TO APPLY TO ALL WORK TO BE CONNECTED TO THE CITY'S ELECTRIC SYSTEM; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. * Mr. Guerra present at 7:41 p.m.
