Friday, May 13, 2016 in <br />e San arcs Activity Center, Room 2, 501 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas <br />78666. <br />Present: 7 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem John Thomaides, Council Member Jude <br />Prather, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Lisa Prewitt, Council Member Jane Hughson, <br />Council Member Melissa Derrick and Council Member Scott Gregson <br />1. Hold discussion and participate in Fiscal Year 2016 -2017 Visioning Workshop, topics <br />discussed may or may not include or be limited to: economic development policies, <br />future infrastructure and facility needs, beautification and community enhancement, <br />enhancement of core services including future staffing and personnel needs, flood <br />mitigation strategies, and provide direction to Staff <br />2. Hold discussion regarding non - residential masonry standards within the City of San <br />Marcos, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Shannon Mattingly, Director of Development Services, provided the Council <br />with a presentation regarding the non - residental masonry standards within the <br />City of San Marcos (attached). Following discussion the Council provided <br />consensus for Commercial to consist of 80% masonry with 20% being <br />secondary approved materials on four sides. Materials to include: brick, stone, <br />marble, granite, stucco (to be further defined), decorative concrete (to be <br />further defined), glass & steel. There will be a 10% DRC limit.
