Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced the Citizen comment period. No one wished to speak. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of two' appointments to the Airport Commission. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Merwin Richards, which passed unanimously. The remaining appointment will be rescheduled at the next meeting. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission. Mayor Morris moved to reappoint Nancy Croft (Art/Design), which passed unanimously. At the January 8 Council Meeting, the City Council reappointed Lisa Garza to represent the Planning and Zoning Commission on this Commission. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends the City Council not require a P&Z member to serve on the Historic Preservation Commission, so the Council directed the City Attorney make revisions to the Ordinance for this position on the HPC to be replaced with a member at large. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to complete a vacancy. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Shirley Ann Robinson and Mr. Moore moved to appoint Richard Earl. On roll call the following vote was recorded: EARL: Moore, Mooney, Cox, Hernandez. ROBINSON: Hart, Morris. Mr. Earl was appointed to complete the vacancy on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. * Mr. Guerra present at 7:47 p.m.
