Call To Order <br /> With a quorum present,the special meeting of the San Marcos City Council <br /> was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt at 5:31 p.m. Monday,March <br /> 26,2018 in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins,San Marcos, Texas <br /> 78666. <br /> II. Roll Call <br /> Mayor Thomaides arrived at 6:28 p.m. <br /> Present: 6- Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Prewitt, Council Member Saul Gonzales, Council Member <br /> Melissa Derrick,Council Member Jane Hughson, Mayor John Thomaides and <br /> Council Member Ed Mihalkanin <br /> • <br /> Absent: 1 - Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott Gregson <br /> 1. Discuss and consider amendments to the proposed San Marcos Development Code <br /> (Code SMTX), and provide direction to Staff. <br /> Abigail Gillfillan,City Planner, provided an update on how the topics will be <br /> grouped for presentation this evening. Council began discussion and <br /> amendments. <br /> A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, seconded by Council Member <br /> Derrick,to approve the proposed Amendment#12, (see Exhibit B attached to <br /> these minutes) by replacing the Comprehensive Plan/District Transaction Table <br /> on page 4:3 and including a new chart identifying further criteria and direction <br /> concerning where neighborhood districts are most appropriate and where and <br /> how additional scrutiny should be applied within existing neighborhoods and <br /> including several amendments to the main motion as detailed below. The <br /> motion carried by the following vote: <br /> For: 5- Mayor Pro Tern Prewitt,Council Member Gonzales, Council Member Derrick, <br /> Council Member Hughson and Council Member Mihalkanin <br /> Against: 0 <br /> Absent: 2- Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Gregson and Mayor Thomaides <br /> City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
