Moore <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tern Joe B. Cox, Jr. <br />Council Members Ed Mihalkanin <br />Jane Hughson <br />Louis Doiron, Jr. <br />* Earl Moseley, Jr. <br />Rick Hernandez <br /> <br />City Manager Larry Gilley <br />Deputy City Manager Laura Huffman <br />City Secretary Janis K. Womack <br />City Attorney Mark Taylor <br />Fire Chief Dan O'Leary <br /> <br />Also Present: Ken Bell, Collette Duran. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tern Cox called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF THE DISASTER DECLARATION RELATED <br />TO LOCAL FLOODING UNTIL NOVEMBER 23, 1998; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Hughson <br />seconded the motion (Mayor Moore present at 4:07 p.m.). Mr. Gilley <br />advised the Declaration issued by Mayor Moore on October 17 was only <br />good for a maximum of seven days. The Council is being asked to <br />extend the Declaration for a maximum of thirty days to take care of <br />any unusual events that may arise (i.e., curfews, price controls). <br />The Declaration gives broad authority to move rapidly if needed. <br />The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Hernandez <br />and seconded by Mr. Doiron. <br /> <br />, r:s~~ . ~ <br />Î'~' j ~ Billy G.
