19 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JUNE 10, 1991 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tem Ronald K. Hart Council Members Billy G. Dan O'Leary Also Present: Reed Parr, Tom Bailey, Melissa Millecam, Lee Hudman, Kermit Welch, Ilene Welch, Collette Boruff, John Holterman, John DeMoor, Jane Hughson, Theodora Scrutchin, Bill Coddington, George Brooks and others. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Cemetery Commission. Mr. Hart moved to reappoint Henry Kyle and reappoint Theodora Scrutchin and Mayor Morris moved to appoint Vicky Vance, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Commission for Minorities. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Lisa Garza, reappoint Eugene Rios, reappoint Denise Ronan and reappoint Erasmo Pompa, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Commission for Women. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Ginger Eways, appoint Kim Bradley, appoint Susan Braden and reappoint Sandie Soyars, and Mr. Plummer moved to reappoint Reesa Boyd. On roll call the following vote was recorded: Moore: Eways, Bradley, Braden, Soyars. Hernandez: Bradley, Braden, Soyars, Boyd. Hart: Eways, Bradley, Soyars, Boyd. Morris: Eways, Bradley, Soyars, Boyd. Plummer: Bradley, Braden, Soyars, Boyd. Ms. Bradley was appointed, Ms. Soyars was reappointed and Ms. Boyd was reappointed. A second roll call was taken: Moore: Eways. Hernandez: Braden. Hart: Eways. Morris: Eways. Plummer: Braden. Neither nomination received a minimum majority vote of four, so the remaining appointment will be rescheduled at the June 24 Meeting. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Ethics Review Commission. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Mike Gividen, Mr. Hernandez moved to reappoint Juanita Colan, and Mr. Hart moved to appoint David Ralph and appoint Kenny Burleson, which passed unanimously. * Mr. Guerra and Ms. Kissler were not present at this meeting.
