" <br />0 - ID ' <br />--I - <br />W-< ~ -r- <br />I» a -... 0 m <br />::Jr - õ <br />3:~ '" ~O <br />~"g J:þ <br />g w 3: <br />-- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF <br />THE CITY BY ZONING A 17.134 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY <br />ON REDWOOD ROAD NEAR ITS INTERSECTION WITH OLD <br />BASTROP ROAD AS "R-2" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT (MEDIUM DENSITY); ZONING A 5.921 ACRE TRACT <br />OF PROPERTY ON REDWOOD ROAD NEAR ITS INTERSECTION <br />WITH OLD BASTROP ROAD AS "R-l" SINGLE-FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY); INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On February 11, 2003, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a <br />public hearing regarding a request to establish the zoning for a 17.134 acre tract of property on Redwood <br />Road near its intersection with Old Bastrop Road as "R-2" Single-Family Dwelling District (Medium <br />Density) and to establish the zoning for a 5.921 acre tract of property on Redwood Road near its <br />intersection with Old Bastrop Road as "R-l" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density). <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Plamiing and Zoning Commission did, on <br />February 11, 2003, consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the request be <br />approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the <br />regarding the request. <br /> <br />24 thday of <br /> <br />March <br /> <br />,2003, <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to zoning <br />map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is <br />in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of the San <br />Marcos City Code, is amended to establish the zoning for the following real property as "R-2" Single- <br />Family Dwelling District (Medium Density): <br /> <br />Street address: Redwood Road near its intersection with Old Bastrop Road. <br /> <br />Size: <br /> <br />17.134 acres. <br /> <br />Legal description: El Camino Real, Phase 1, Section 1. <br /> <br />Deed or plat reference: Volume 10, Pages 371-373, Hays County Plat Records. <br />
