Lighthouse; <br />Donald Tuff; Geneva Gomez; Polly Dusek; Maurice Erickson; Vernon <br />Hartman; Jake Krauskopf; Terry Roberts; Melissa Millecam; Rowe Hay; <br />Shirley Wickersham; Albert Sierra; and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 24, 1976, were approved on motion <br />of Mr. Hansen and second of Mr. Breihan. The Minutes of the Special Meeting <br />held June 7, 1976, were approved on motion of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. Hansen, <br />with Councilmen Breihan and Sutton abstaining. <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved to reappoint Dr. Glenn Longley and Mr. Gilbert Tenorio and appoint <br />Dr. James Standley and Mr. Gerald Farr to the Environmental Advisory Connnittee. <br />Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read an Ordinance, the caption of which is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING AND FilING THE MAXIMUM SCHEDULES OF RATES TO <br />BE CHARGED BY ENTEX, INC., IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FOR NATURAL <br />GAS AND NATURAL GAS SERVICE FURNISHED BY IT TO RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAJ~ <br />CONSUMEHS, CONTAINING DEFINITIONS, FilING THE EFFECTIVE DATES FOR GAS <br />RATES PRESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, MA.KING MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS AND <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mr. Arredondo <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Sutton requested that the Exhibits be amended to change <br />the date of September 1, 1973 to the effective date of the ordinance. Mr. Sutton <br />warned the Council that if the September 1973 date were left in the Ordinance, that <br />Entex would then try to recover lost gas cost adjustments. Mr. Breihan pointed out <br />that September 1,~1973 was the effective date of the RailroadConnnission Order which <br />allowed the pass through of increased gas cost, but did not allow the recovery of lost <br />expenses. On roll call, the motion to approve the Ordinance on first reading passed <br />with the following vote: <br /> <br />AYE: Hansen, James, Arredondo, Brelhan, Cavazos, Craddock <br />NAY: Sutton. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 19 OF <br />THAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CODIFIED AS <br />APPENDIX A IN THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />BY EXPANDING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT FROM FIVE TO SEV:I>N <br />MEMBERS. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock explained that the Ordinance was in conflict with Article 1011g, <br />V.T.C.S. (1971). Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance not be approved. Mr. James <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
