Mr. Webster told the Council that they could authorize the City to
file an application on its own behalf or they could join in an application
being filed by the County. Council discussed the relative merits of each
alternative. Mr. Leddick reported that he had had good cooperation from the
County on a similar program administered during the summer. He said the
advantage in allowing the County to file an application on the City's behalf
would be a .relief from the administration of the program with the City gaining
approximately ten employees. Mr. Hansen moved to authorize the City Manager
to proceed to develop an agreement for the County to administer the program
on behalf of the City. Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Webster reported that the Council would need to adopt a resolution endorsing
the joint County application at the next regular meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m. on motion of Mr. Hansen and second of
Mr. James.

d--~~~

Mayor

~JJtQ ~

Robert L. cav~
Council Member

~- a 11~",,--

Oh~n A.
