Walker <br /> <br />The Mayor called the informal session to order at 10 a.m, and <br />reported that Candidate for Place Four Henry Silva Cruz had re- <br />quested a recount of votes in that Place be conducted. <br /> <br />The City Attorney explained the legal process for a recount and <br />stated the Coun~il~ must name three "disinterested persons# to <br />serve on the Recount Committee. <br /> <br />The Mayor suggested that each Councilman propose a person, and <br />that Mr. Flores, who was unable to meet at that hour, be requested <br />to name the third member and designate the chairman. All agreed <br />that this would be satisfactory. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr, C.E. Burnett and Mr. Houston Marney were contacted by telephone, <br />and agreed to serve on the Recount Committee, scheduled to meet <br />in the Conference Room of City Hall at 10 a,m., Monday, April 12. <br /> <br />The City Attorney agreed to prepare the various legal papers <br />necessary for notification of members of the Committee, and the <br />two candidates for Place 4. <br /> <br />Mr. Flores, contacted [ater, named <br />who agreed to serve as Chairman of <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />QU~.(}y(JJr11rJl <br /> <br />Dorothy .
