Frank Estrada, Mrs. Jerri Veidt, <br />Lanny Cravy, Pete Alvarado, jr. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilman Zavesky moved that Dr. Nilon Tallant be reappointed <br />City Health Officer for a term ending September 7, 1970. Mr. <br />Flores seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Serur introduced for discussion the date for the public <br />hearing on the proposed 1969-1970 budget. Mr. Dannelley moved <br />that the public hearing be held at 7:30p.m., Monday, Sept. 8,l969 <br />at' Ci ty Hall. Mr. Contreras seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Manager opened for discussion the proposed Street <br />Assessment Paving Program. Mr. Bean said the City's engineers <br />had estimated a program for paving and storm drainage on Linda <br />and Thorp Streets, part of Broadway, Brown Street and six streets <br />in Wallace Addition would cost in the neighborhood of $538,440.00. <br />Mr. Dannelley moved that Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. be author- <br />ized to draw up plans and specifications, prior to advertising for <br />bids on the paving and drainage project. Mr. Zavesky seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Manager presented two bid tabulations for action of the <br />Council. Mr. Zavesky moved that the traffic control equipment <br />for installation of signal lights at Colorado and Edward Gary <br />Streets, and Hopkins at Moore, be awarded to Signal Engineering, <br />on a low bid of $4,928.98. Mr. Dannelley seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Dannelley moved that the tax and billing machine be purchased <br />from Burroughs, on a bid of $6,199.05. Mr. Zavesky seconded the <br />motion. which passed unanimously. <br />Bid tabulations are attached and made a part of the Minutes. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:37 p.m. <br />
