MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APRIL 6, 1981 PRESENT: Mayor Pro-Tem John J. Stokes Council Members Karl W. Brown Robert L. Cavazos Berry R. James Tess Norris Ed Tarbutton City Manager City Secretary City Attorney Acting Director of Public Works A. C. Gonzalez Mae Cephas Barbara Edwards George Boeker Also Present: Cindy Ripley, Glenda Crater, Jeff Watkins and others. The Mayor Pro-Tem called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. The Council canvassed and certified the votes from the April 4, 1981 Election. Mr. Stokes introduced for consideration an Ordinance, the caption of which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE REGULAR CITY ELECTION HELD APRIL 4, 1981, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr. Cavazos moved to adopt the Ordinance and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Stokes introduced for consideration an Ordinance, the caption of which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ORDERING A SPECIAL ELEC- TION ON MAY 2, 1981, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mrs. Norris moved to adopt the Ordinance and Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m. on motion of Mrs. Norris and second- ed by Mr. James. .
