Bro~h, Bill Veidt, <br />Ben McCollum, J~rry'Martin, Martin Cherry~ <br />LannyCravy <br /> <br />The Mayor calledthemeetin~ to order at 7:30p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of February 23 and February 27, 1970 were approved as <br />presented, on motion of Mr. Zavesky and second of Dr. Craddock. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced by caption an ordinance annexing a 4-acre <br />tract belonging to the Knights of Columbus Home Association. <br />Mr. Zavesky moved adoption of the Ordin~nce on second reading. <br />Mr. Smith seconded the motion and on 1"611 call, the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Craddock, Flores, Serur, Smith, Zavesky <br />None <br />Contreras <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance passed onsecol1d reading. <br /> <br />Ivar Gunnarson 'came before t~e Council to request a lease on <br />Lots 10& 11 at Lowman Airport) for erec:t1onof an advertising <br />bulletin. Mayor Serur moved that Mr. Gunnarson be given a three- <br />year lease on the property,at $50 a year, with option to renew. <br />Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion. The City Manager said a contract <br />should be drawn up, with a 30-day vacancy clause. Mr. Smith asked <br />Mr. Gunnarson if he would 'be ~illing to negotiate a lease on a <br />year-to-year basis. He agreed. Roll call on the amended motion <br />resulted in a unanimous vote inthe'affirmaiive. M~. Bean was <br />requested to have the City Attorney draw up a one~year contract, <br />with first refusal to rehew,and a 30-day vacancy clause. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Kenneth Finch of Ernst & Ernst gave a report on the annual audit, <br />a copy of which is on file in the City Secretary's office. <br /> <br />The Mayor announced the resignation of Dr. Billy Hinton as a member <br />of the Planning & Zoning Commission. Mr. Serur said Robert Elder, <br />a member of the Commission, had proposed Dr. Don Green to fill the <br />vacancy. The Mayor asked if there were other nominations. <br />Mr. Flores moved that Dr. Don Green be appointed to fill the unexpired <br />term of Dr. Hinton. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />
