Tuff, Lanny Cravy, <br />Mrs. Jack Weatherford <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilman Zavesky introduced an ordi~a~ce and moved its' adoption <br />on second reading. Caption is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN <br />BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF <br />APPROltIMATELY280'ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID., TERRITORY <br />LI ES ADJ AC ENT TO ANDADJOI NS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY <br />LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock seconded the motion and on roll call, the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Contreras, Craddock, Flores, Smith, Yarbrough, Zavesky <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed on second reading. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved that the Mayor be authorized to sign an agreement <br />with Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. to do the design work on <br />Olmos Drive, as previously discussed. Mr. ZavesKY seconded the <br />motion, and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Contreras, Craddock, Flores, Smith, Yarbrough, Zavesky <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor reminded Councilmen that the new street at Owen Goodnight <br />Junior High School must be officially named. <br />The City Manager read an excerpt of the Minutes of February 24, 1969, <br />in which it was voted -thht ~he~ a new street becomes available, it <br />be designated 'Peter Garza Street'". It was explained to the new <br />Councilmen that this action had been proposed to honor an old-time <br />citizen, Peter Garza of 127 Fredericksburg Street, and his son, <br />Peter Garza, who was killed in World War 11. <br />Mr. Zavesky moved that the new street at Owea Goodnight Junior High <br />School be named UPeter Garza Streetu. Mr. Flores seconded the motion <br />and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br />
