39 RECESSED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 21, 1975 Present: Mayor Emmie Craddock Councilmen Frank T. Arredondo Ted Breihan Bill Dibrell Luciano H. Flores John Hansen Kenneth E. Sutton I City Manager James B. Baugh City Attorney Tom Akins City Secretary Doriss Hambrick Director, Finance Earl T. Williams Director, Public Works William T. Friedrich Also present: George Boeker; Albert Sierra; and others, ,Councilman Hansendnove,kth;a,Regu1arcMeettrigc6fpMay 19, 1975, be reconvened at 2:25 p.m. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock reminded the Council that a motion to approve a Resolution having the following caption was presently under discussion: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CORRECTION DEED OF DEDICATION FROM THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS OF CERTAIN DISPOSITION PARCELS LOCATED WITHIN NDP PROJECT TEX. A-6. I Mr. Sutton requested information regarding an earlier arrangement made between the City and the Hays County Veterans Association pertaining to adjoining property. On roll call, the motion to ~pprove the Resolution was unanimously approved. The Mayor introduced a Resolution and read the caption as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A CORRECTION WARRANTY DEED FROM THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS OF CERTAIN DISPOSITION PARCELS LOCATED WITHIN NDP TEX. A-6. Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NAMING THE PORTION OF LOOP 82 LOCATED IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS BETWEEN I.H. 35 AND THE ENTRANCE TO AQUARENA SPRINGS "AQUARENA SPRINGS DRIVE". Mr. Breihan moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Dibrell seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Sutton moved the Council recess to reconvene immediately in Executive Session to discuss proposed litigation and acquisition of property. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. I The Council held the Executive Session, beginning at 2:40 p.m. in the office of the City Attorney. At 3:20, the Council reconvened in Recessed Regular Session. The Mayor reported that the Council had discussed damages incurred in the McGee Street Construction Project. Mr. Hansen moved to resolve to authorize the City Attorney to initiate litigation with regard to those damages. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
