<br />39 <br /> <br />RECESSED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 21, 1975 <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Emmie Craddock <br /> <br />Councilmen <br /> <br />Frank T. Arredondo <br />Ted Breihan <br />Bill Dibrell <br />Luciano H. Flores <br />John Hansen <br />Kenneth E. Sutton <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Manager James B. Baugh <br />City Attorney Tom Akins <br />City Secretary Doriss Hambrick <br />Director, Finance Earl T. Williams <br />Director, Public Works William T. Friedrich <br /> <br />Also present: George Boeker; Albert Sierra; and others, <br /> <br />,Councilman Hansendnove,kth;a,Regu1arcMeettrigc6fpMay 19, 1975, be reconvened at <br />2:25 p.m. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock reminded the Council that a motion to approve a Resolution having <br />the following caption was presently under discussion: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CORRECTION DEED <br />OF DEDICATION FROM THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS OF <br />CERTAIN DISPOSITION PARCELS LOCATED WITHIN NDP PROJECT TEX. A-6. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton requested information regarding an earlier arrangement made between <br />the City and the Hays County Veterans Association pertaining to adjoining property. <br />On roll call, the motion to ~pprove the Resolution was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a Resolution and read the caption as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND ACCEPTING <br />A CORRECTION WARRANTY DEED FROM THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS OF CERTAIN DISPOSITION PARCELS LOCATED WITHIN NDP TEX. A-6. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NAMING <br />THE PORTION OF LOOP 82 LOCATED IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS BETWEEN I.H. 35 <br />AND THE ENTRANCE TO AQUARENA SPRINGS "AQUARENA SPRINGS DRIVE". <br /> <br />Mr. Breihan moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Dibrell <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the Council recess to reconvene immediately in Executive <br />Session to discuss proposed litigation and acquisition of property. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Council held the Executive Session, beginning at 2:40 p.m. in the office of <br />the City Attorney. <br /> <br />At 3:20, the Council reconvened in Recessed Regular Session. The Mayor reported <br />that the Council had discussed damages incurred in the McGee Street Construction <br />Project. Mr. Hansen moved to resolve to authorize the City Attorney to initiate <br />litigation with regard to those damages. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />
