This <br />ordinance ~'ias necessary to fill the City SecI'E'taryls position. The ordinance <br />was read in full and seconded by Alderman Korff. Upon .roll call the ayes and <br />nayes were as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Ayes: Davis <br />Korff <br />Tuttle <br />Nayes; None <br /> <br />\.'~hereupon the Mayor Pro-~ferll declared -the ordinance passed, approved, and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />Mr. J. H. Cole of Troup, Texas, had requested permission to erect <br />and operate a miniature golf course at the City Park. After a discussion <br />the Council memhers agreed that they would have to defer action on Mr. Cole's <br />request until sllch time as he would submit a more specific proposal or written <br />contract fOT the Councills consideration. <br /> <br />City Manager Fuller reported to the Council that the cost of rep12cing <br />the lamps in the traffic lights for the month of April was $57.00, or more tha!l <br />$3.00 per glove replaced. Since this cost seemed excessive he recommended <br />that the duty of globe replacement be delegated to the City's electrical <br />inspector, Mr. Jack Major, end thilt Mr. Major be compensated $25.00 per month. <br />Alderman Korff made a motion, seconded by Alderman Tuttle, that the Council <br />accept thi s recofnmendation as outlined. The motion was passed by a unanimous <br />vote of the Council. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Manager Fuller requested the Councilfs permission to attend the <br />Texas City Man&gers spring meeting in Fo:et Worth on June 7 - 9. It was the <br />COfrJTIon consent of the Council that City Manager Fuller be permitted to attend <br />this meeting and that the expenses incurred by him at this meeting would be <br />reimbursed by the City. <br /> <br />At a previous meeting City Manager Fuller 'Nas instructed to report <br />to the Council on the specifications of the ordinance establishing the City <br />of San Marcos Planning COTJTIission. City Manager Fuller reported to the Council <br />that a valid ordinance following the plan outlined by the Council did not exist <br /> <br />L <br />
