s-, SPECIAL MEETWG OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HELD ON JULY 23, 1963 Present: Mayor Frank Taylor I Aldermen: Wm. L. Moore, M.D. WIll. C. Pool Ruben Ruiz Lee Swift City Manager City Secretary B.R. Fuller Dorothy O. Worrell Absent: Alderman H. Garland Stokes Visitors: Dr. David Conrad, member of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and Tom Buckner of The San Marcos Record The City Council met at Rio Vista Restaurant on July 23, 1963, at 12:45 p.m. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 1:25 p.m. and read the stated purpose of the Special Meeting as follows: 1. Setting a date for a Public Hearing of the Urban Renewal Plan for the Chautauqua Hill Project, TEX R-73 2. Setting a date for Public Hearing of the proposed Zoning Ordinance of the City of San Marcos I Alderman Swift moved that the Public Hearing on the Chautauqua Hill Project be set for 7:30 p.m., August 26, 1963. Alderman Pool seconded the motion, and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Swift NAY: None Whereupon, the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Public Hearing on the Urban Renewal Project set for August 26, 1963. Dr. Conrad announced that the Planning and Zoning Commission had set its Public Hearing on the Zoning Ordinance of the City of San Marcos for Monday, July 29, at 7:30 p.m. A general discussion on procedures was held between the Council members and Dr. Conrad. Alderman Swift moved that the PUblic Hearing on the Zoning Ordinance be set for Monday, August 12, 1963, at 7:30 p.m. Alderman Moore seconded the motion, and, on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Swift NAY: None I Vfuereupon, the Mayor declared the motion passed, and the Public Hearing on the Zoning Ordinance set for August 12, 1963.
