Fuller Dorothy 0; Worrell Visitors: Mrs. JerriVeidt, Tom Buckner, Celestino Mendez, Peter Rodriguez, Bob Pool, Ellis Serur The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Councilmen signed a "Consent to Meeting". Two petitions for annexation were presented to the Council. Maps accompany- ing the petitions were examined by the Council members. Alderman Stokes moved that the petition for annexation of the Beecroft property(Block 49, etc. of Westover Addition) be received by the Council. Alderman Moore seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded:' . AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes N!<Y: None Whereupon, the Mayor declared the petition officially received. Alderman Stokes moved that the petition for annexation of right-of-way on Highway 8O( being the second one-half mile) be received by the Council. Alderman MOore seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes NAY: None Whereupon, the Mayor declared the petition officially received. The MaYor read aloud a letter he had received from Mayor J.B. Nickells of Luling. It included a Resolution passed by the City Council cif Luling, endorsing the efforts of the Citizens Committee for Camp Gary. Alderman Ruiz moved that the Council approve the City Manager's request to LCRA to put a street light at the corner of Guadalupe and Cheatham Streets. Alderman Stokes seconded the motion, which passed unanimou~ly. Alderman Stokes introduced a Resolution approving the State Highway Department's action in placing traffic control devices (stop-lights) at the intersections of the east and west frontage roaqs with Guadalupe Street and State 123. He further moved that the Mayor be authorized to execute an agreement with the State Highway Department on cost, maintenance and electric energy. Alderman Pool seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was ,recorded: AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes NAY: None Whereupon, the Mayor declared the motion carried. fOf:
