Fuller <br />Dorothy 0; Worrell <br /> <br />Visitors: <br /> <br />Mrs. JerriVeidt, Tom Buckner, Celestino Mendez, <br />Peter Rodriguez, Bob Pool, Ellis Serur <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Councilmen signed <br />a "Consent to Meeting". <br /> <br />Two petitions for annexation were presented to the Council. Maps accompany- <br />ing the petitions were examined by the Council members. <br />Alderman Stokes moved that the petition for annexation of the Beecroft <br />property(Block 49, etc. of Westover Addition) be received by the Council. <br />Alderman Moore seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote <br />was recorded:' . <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes <br />N!<Y: None <br /> <br />Whereupon, the Mayor declared the petition officially received. <br /> <br />Alderman Stokes moved that the petition for annexation of right-of-way <br />on Highway 8O( being the second one-half mile) be received by the Council. <br />Alderman MOore seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote <br />was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />Whereupon, the Mayor declared the petition officially received. <br /> <br />The MaYor read aloud a letter he had received from Mayor J.B. Nickells <br />of Luling. It included a Resolution passed by the City Council cif Luling, <br />endorsing the efforts of the Citizens Committee for Camp Gary. <br /> <br />Alderman Ruiz moved that the Council approve the City Manager's request <br />to LCRA to put a street light at the corner of Guadalupe and Cheatham Streets. <br />Alderman Stokes seconded the motion, which passed unanimou~ly. <br /> <br />Alderman Stokes introduced a Resolution approving the State Highway Department's <br />action in placing traffic control devices (stop-lights) at the intersections <br />of the east and west frontage roaqs with Guadalupe Street and State 123. He <br />further moved that the Mayor be authorized to execute an agreement with the <br />State Highway Department on cost, maintenance and electric energy. <br />Alderman Pool seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was <br />,recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />Whereupon, the Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />fOf: <br />
