~ ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXASi HELD ON THE 13TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1969 Present: Mayor Ellis Serur Councilmen: Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. Ronald J. Dannelley Luciano H. Flores William C. Pool, Ph.D. Hollis W. Smith Jerry Zavesky I City Manager City Secretary Richard G. Bean Dorothy O. Worrell Visitors: Jim T. Brown, Gary Chatham, Bill Olson, Dr. Ira Bowlesr Dr. Robert Walts, R.C. Van Gundy, Ronald Wicker, Jack Major, David Pool, B.W. Klotz, Henry DeFord, J.R. Cole, F.R. Hilmer, Jerri Veidt, Tom Buckner, William K. Davis The Mayor called the meeting to order at 3:DO p.m. I James R. Cole of Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc., presented the Water & Sewer Improvement Plan. Transparencies of the areas of development were shown on the screen to supplement explanation of the proposed water and sewer lines as shown on a large aerial map. Mr. Cole said that the plan conformed to the proposed plan as outlined at the time of the bond issue election, except for a few minor details. Follow- ing approval by the Council, the plan goes to the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the State Health Depart- ment, for final approval. Mr. Dannelley moved approval of the Plan, as presented. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion and on roll call, the follow- ~ng vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, Zavesky NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried. I Councilman Zavesky mentioned that the Law Enforcement Banquet being sponsored by the Lions Club was being held on February 24, in conflict with the regular meeting of the Council. He said he felt the City should support the affair. By common consent, it was agreed that Councilman Zavesky should represent the City Council at the Banquet, February 24. Councilman Dannelley suggested that Dr. David R. Tauch be appointed to the Planning & Zoning Commission, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Curtis Briggs. The Mayor said the appointment would be made at the next regular meeting.
