<br />The ~ayor called the meeting to ~rder at 7:30 p.m.

<br />The Rev. Paul Powell, Pastor, Fir~t Baptist Church, gave
<br />the Invocation.
<br />
<br />Minutes of the May 26,1969 meeting were approved as present-
<br />ed, on motion of Mr. Zavesky and second of Mr. Smith.

<br />Jim T. Brown, Executive Director of the Urban Renewal Agency,
<br />came before the Council to discuss setting a date fa... a pub-
<br />lic hearing on the Neighborhood Development Project.
<br />Dr. Craddock moved that a P~bllc Hearing on the Neighborhood
<br />Development Project be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 22,
<br />at the Public Library. Mr. Flores seconded the motion and on
<br />roll call, the following vote ~as recorded:

<br />AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Flores, Serur, Smith, Zavesky
<br />NAY: Dannelley

<br />The Mayor declared the motion carried, and instructed the
<br />City Secretary to publish the notice of the Public Hearing.
<br />
<br />Or,. Ben Copas,s, Corporation Court Judge, appeared before the
<br />Council to propo~e some changes in minimum fines. He explain-
<br />ed that ihe proposed changes would bring local fines more in
<br />line with other cities and with State Statute~. Dr. Craddock
<br />moved approval of the proposed minimum fines. Mr. Zavesky
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

<br />C.C. Crutchfield, representative of Municipal Code Corporation
<br />of Tallahassee, Florida, came before the Council to discuss
<br />codification of the City's ordinances. It was brought out that
<br />the Charter adopted in February, 1967, directs the Council to
<br />have the City's ordinances codified. Mr. Crutchfield explained
<br />the benefits of codification, and the services his firm provides.
<br />Based on a 300-page code, Municipal Code Corporation offered to
<br />print 100 copies for $4,75D, or $11.00 per page. A loose-leaf
<br />supplement service is included, at $11.50 per page.
<br />M.... Dannelley moved that the City enter into the preliminary
<br />stage with Mr. C...utchfield, and consider a contract when p...esented.
