I I I 78 ORDINANCE NO, 1979"16 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE V, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES", OF CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC", BY ADDING TO SECTION 29-lI0.1, ENTITLED "(TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES) TO BE PLACED AND MAINTAINED AT OR NEAR SPECIFIC STREET INTERSECTIONS", ONE LOCATION FOR A TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 29-110.1 entitled "(Traffic Control Devices) to be placed and maintained at or near specific street intersections", of Article V, entitled "Traffic Control Devices", of Chapter 29 of the City Code of Ordinances be, and is hereby, amended by adding a new location for the placement of a traffic control device as follows: (19) On University Drive, also known as Loop 82, approximately 670' northeast of the intersection of University Drive (Loop 82) and C. M. Allen Parkway. SECTION Z. That the importance of this ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions of the Charter requiring all ordinances be read on three separate readings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage be suspended, and this provision is hereby suspended, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City.
