<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />78 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO, 1979"16 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />ARTICLE V, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />DEVICES", OF CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC", BY <br />ADDING TO SECTION 29-lI0.1, ENTITLED <br />"(TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES) TO BE PLACED <br />AND MAINTAINED AT OR NEAR SPECIFIC <br />STREET INTERSECTIONS", ONE LOCATION FOR <br />A TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE; AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Section 29-110.1 entitled "(Traffic Control <br />Devices) to be placed and maintained at or near specific <br />street intersections", of Article V, entitled "Traffic Control <br />Devices", of Chapter 29 of the City Code of Ordinances be, and <br />is hereby, amended by adding a new location for the placement <br />of a traffic control device as follows: <br /> <br />(19) On University Drive, also known <br />as Loop 82, approximately 670' <br />northeast of the intersection of <br />University Drive (Loop 82) and <br />C. M. Allen Parkway. <br /> <br />SECTION Z. That the importance of this ordinance creates an <br />emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions <br />of the Charter requiring all ordinances be read on three separate <br />readings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the <br />expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final <br />passage be suspended, and this provision is hereby suspended, and <br />this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect <br />from and after its adoption and publication in a newspaper of <br />general circulation within the City.
