<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1979 - 25 <br /> <br />150 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, <br />ENTITLED "TRAFFIC" BY ADDING TO SECTION <br />29-122, ENTITLED "STOP SIGNS," OF <br />ARTICLE V, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />DEVICES" OF SAID CHAPTER, ONE LOCATION <br />FOR A STOP SIGN; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Section 29-122, entitled "Stop Signs," <br />of Article V, entitled "Traffic Control Services," of <br />Chapter 29 of the City Code of Ordinances be, and is hereby, <br />amended by adding the following locations to the list of <br />locations for authorized stop signs, to-wit: <br /> <br />Intersection <br /> <br />Direction of <br />Approach <br /> <br />North <br /> <br />Bugg Lane and Hopkins Street <br />(Also known as Ranch Road 12) <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the importance of this Ordinance and the <br />necessity of authorizing stop signs which are currently in <br />place create an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary <br />that the provisions of the Charter requiring all ordinances be <br />read at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall <br />become effective tmtilLthe expiration of ten (10) days follow- <br />ing the date of its final passage be suspended, and this <br />provision is hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take <br />effect and be in full force and effect from and after its <br />adoption and publication in a newspaper of general circulation <br />within the City. <br /> <br />APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 18-tLday of Ck..ML <br />1979.
