<br />t>'~ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1978-1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 104(a) <br />OF ORDINANCE 1950-13, ADOPTED JULY 25, 1950, <br />WHICH SPECIFIED THE CIRCUMSTANCES UNDER WHICH <br />THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WAS AUTHORIZED TO IMPOUND <br />STANDING OR PARKED VEHICLES, AND WHICH IS CODI- <br />FIED AS' SECTION 29-152(a), OF ARTICLE VII, CHAP- <br />TER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, BY ADDING ADDI- <br />TIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES UNDER WHICH STANDING OR <br />PARKED VEHICLES COULD BE IMPOUNDED; AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN AARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Part 1. That Section l04(a) of Ordinance 1950-13, adopted July 25, <br />1950, and codified as Section 29-152(a) of Article VII, Chapter 29 <br />of the Code of Ordinances, which specifies the circumstances under- <br />which the police department is authorized to impound standing or parked I <br />vehicles be, and is hereby, amended to add these additional circumstance <br />under which standing or parked vehicles ~ould be impounded, to-wit: <br /> <br />1. When any vehicle is &11egal1y parked so as to block the entrance I <br />to any private driveway and it is impracticable to move such <br />vehicle from in front of the driveway to another point on the <br />pulblib street. <br /> <br />2. When any vehicle is parked within fifteen (15) feet of a fire <br />hydrant, except within an officially marked ~~rking stall. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />3. When any vehicle is parked within twenty (20) feet of the <br />driveway entrance to any fire station and, on the side of a <br />street opposite the entrance to any fire station, within <br />seventy-five (75) feet of such entrance (when properly sign- <br />posted) . <br /> <br />Part 2.
