<br />63 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1978-13 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF <br />BAUDELIO GUERRERO AND WIFE, MARIA GUERRERO, FOR <br />ALL OF wr 24, BLOCK 12 OF THE C. D. WALLACE <br />ADDITION; A\JI'HORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A <br />SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED TO SAID BIDDERS ON BEHAU' <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS IN TRUST FOR ITSEU' THE <br />STATE OF TEXAS, COUNTY OF HAYS AND THE SAN MARCOS <br />CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT; AND <br />DEClARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos acquired all that right, title and interest <br />conveyed by Sheriff's Deed, dated March 24, 1962, in and to all of LDt 24, <br />Block 12 of the C. D. Wallace Addition to the City of San Marcos, as trustee <br />for itself, the State of Texas, the County of Hays, and the San Marcos <br />Consolidated Independent School District; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said lot was not redeemed by its former owners within the statutory <br />period; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to return this property to private ownership, <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid by Baudelio Guerrero and wife, Maria Guerrero, was the highest <br />and best responsible bid; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the bid of Baudelio Guerrero and wife, Maria Guerrero, in the <br />amount of $2,500.00 for all of LDt 24, Block 12 of the C. D. Wallace Additior. <br />to the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, be accepted as the highest and <br />best responsible bid. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Frank T. Arredondo, be, and <br />is hereby, authorized to execute a special warranty deed to Baudelio Guerrero and <br />wife, Maria Guerrero for said property on behalf of the City of San Marcos, in <br />trust for itself, the State of Texas, the County of Hays, and the San Marcos <br />Consolidated Independent School District. <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
