I t"- o: ...... u ;:l:; CJJ I I 1, ORDINANCE ro. 1978-21 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC", BY DELETING THREE LOCATIONS FROM SECTION, 29- 122, ENTITLED "STOP SIGNS", OF ARTICLE V, EN- TITLED "TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES", OF SAID CHAP- TERf BY ADDING TO SECTION 29-121, ENTITLED "YIELD SIGNS", OF THE AFORESAID ARTICLE AND CHAPTER, TEN LOCATIONS FOR YIELD SIGNS; BY ADDING TO SECTION 29-122, ENTITLED "STOP SIGNS", OF THE AFORESAID ARTICLE AND CHAPTER, FIVE LOCATIONS FOR STOP SIGNS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, ~~EXAS: Section 1. That Section 29-122, entitled "Stop Siqns", of Article V, entitled "Traffic Control Devices", of Chapter 29 of the City Code of Ordinances be, and is hereby, amended by deleting the fol1o~~ing locations from the list of locations for authorized stop signs" to-wit: INTERSECTION DIRECTION OF APPROACH First Street and Mill Street Second Street and Mill Street Third Street and Mill Street West West West Section 2. That Section 29-121, entitled "Yield Signs", of the aforesaid Article and Chapter of the City Code of Ordinances, be, and is hereby, amended by adding ten new locations at which drivers, in accordance with the provisions of the City Code, shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles, to-wit: INTERSECTION DIRECTION OF APPROACH Allen Street and Marlton Street Armstrong" Street and Eisenhower Street Clark Street and Lamar Street First Street and Lockhart Street First Street and Mill Street Furman Street and Franklin Street Lockhart Street and Third Street Second Street and Lockhart Street Second Street and Mill Street Third Street and Mill Street South East South East West North North East & West West West Section 3. That Section 29-122, entitled "Stop Signs", of the afore- said Article and Chapter of the City Code of Ordinances, be, and is hereby, amended by adding five new locations at which drivers, in accordance with the provisions of the City Code, shall stop at stop signs posted on the intersections specified from the directions indi- cated, to-wit: INTERSECTION DIRECTION OF APPROACH Bert Brown Street and Post Road Furman Street and Bishop Street Hines Street and Marshall Street Hines Street and Patton Street Invasion Street and Patton Street North South South West East Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days from and after its final passage and publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of San Marcos, Texas.
