<br />I <br /> <br />t"- <br />o: <br />...... <br />u <br />;:l:; <br />CJJ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1, <br /> <br />ORDINANCE ro. 1978-21 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF <br />THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC", <br />BY DELETING THREE LOCATIONS FROM SECTION, 29- <br />122, ENTITLED "STOP SIGNS", OF ARTICLE V, EN- <br />TITLED "TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES", OF SAID CHAP- <br />TERf BY ADDING TO SECTION 29-121, ENTITLED <br />"YIELD SIGNS", OF THE AFORESAID ARTICLE AND <br />CHAPTER, TEN LOCATIONS FOR YIELD SIGNS; BY <br />ADDING TO SECTION 29-122, ENTITLED "STOP SIGNS", <br />OF THE AFORESAID ARTICLE AND CHAPTER, FIVE <br />LOCATIONS FOR STOP SIGNS, AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. ' <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, ~~EXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 29-122, entitled "Stop Siqns", of Article V, <br />entitled "Traffic Control Devices", of Chapter 29 of the City Code <br />of Ordinances be, and is hereby, amended by deleting the fol1o~~ing <br />locations from the list of locations for authorized stop signs" to-wit: <br /> <br />INTERSECTION <br /> <br />DIRECTION OF APPROACH <br /> <br />First Street and Mill Street <br />Second Street and Mill Street <br />Third Street and Mill Street <br /> <br />West <br />West <br />West <br /> <br />Section 2. That Section 29-121, entitled "Yield Signs", of the <br />aforesaid Article and Chapter of the City Code of Ordinances, be, and <br />is hereby, amended by adding ten new locations at which drivers, in <br />accordance with the provisions of the City Code, shall yield the <br />right-of-way to other vehicles, to-wit: <br /> <br />INTERSECTION <br /> <br />DIRECTION OF APPROACH <br /> <br />Allen Street and Marlton Street <br />Armstrong" Street and Eisenhower Street <br />Clark Street and Lamar Street <br />First Street and Lockhart Street <br />First Street and Mill Street <br />Furman Street and Franklin Street <br />Lockhart Street and Third Street <br />Second Street and Lockhart Street <br />Second Street and Mill Street <br />Third Street and Mill Street <br /> <br />South <br />East <br />South <br />East <br />West <br />North <br />North <br />East & West <br />West <br />West <br /> <br />Section 3. That Section 29-122, entitled "Stop Signs", of the afore- <br />said Article and Chapter of the City Code of Ordinances, be, and is <br />hereby, amended by adding five new locations at which drivers, in <br />accordance with the provisions of the City Code, shall stop at stop <br />signs posted on the intersections specified from the directions indi- <br />cated, to-wit: <br /> <br />INTERSECTION <br /> <br />DIRECTION OF APPROACH <br /> <br />Bert Brown Street and Post Road <br />Furman Street and Bishop Street <br />Hines Street and Marshall Street <br />Hines Street and Patton Street <br />Invasion Street and Patton Street <br /> <br />North <br />South <br />South <br />West <br />East <br /> <br />Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten <br />(10) days from and after its final passage and publication in a <br />newspaper of general circulation in the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br />
