<br />21 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1977 - 17 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH ADOPTS RULES AND ORDER OF BUSINESS FOR <br />SAID CITY COUNCIL, BY PROVIDING FOR REGULAR <br />WEEKLY MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE <br />DURATION OF A REVIEW PERIOD TO END SEPTEMBER <br />30, 1977. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City business has increased to the extent that it <br />is difficult for the City Council and the City Staff to conduct <br />necessary business efficiently in only two regular meetings each <br />month; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to study the impact on this <br />problem by holding regular weekly meetings on a trial basis through <br />the end of the present fiscal year; now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Part 1. That Section 1 of that ordinance of the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, duly passed and approved on the 8th day of May 1967, <br />as set out in Volume 34, page 11 of the Minutes of the City Council <br />of the City of San Marcos, which adopts rules and order of business <br />f6rthneCCityoeouncil, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />" (1) Regular meetings of the Council shall be held at 7: 30 <br />p.m., on Monday of each week. Said regular weekly meetings shall <br />continue only through September 30, 1977, or until altered by duly <br />passed and adopted ordinance of the City Council." <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Part 2.
