37 ORDINANCE NO. ~977~~8 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN AMRCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION TWO OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH PROVIDES FOR A JOB CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY SCHEDULE FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY DIVISION OF THE. CITY OF SAN MARCOS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos has heretofore established the number of positions, classifications and salary~in-grade for civil service personnel in the Public Safety Department; and I WHEREAS, certain of these classifications and salaries have De en altered; now, therefore, I BE IT ORDAINED EY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: Part 1. That Section Two of that ordinance of the City of San Marcos, Texas, duly passed and approved on the 23rd day of Feoruary, 1976, as set out in Volume 45, page 209 of the Minutes of the City' Council of San Marcos, which provide for position, classifi- cations and salary-in-grade for Civil Service personnel in the Public Safety Department, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2: That there is hereby enacted a new Section 2-31 of Division 1" Article III, Chapter 2 of said Code which shall read as follows: Section 2-31. Job Classification and Salary. Pursuant to Section 8, Article 1269m, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas (1925), now, and as hereafter amended, the following job classifications, number of positions in each classification, and respective salary schedules shall be implemented into the Public Safety Divisro6h of the City of San Marcos.
