45 ORDINANCE NO. 1977-22 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MAFCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SEL'l'ION 'IWJ OF THAT ORDINANCE, WHICH ProVIDES FOR A JOB CIASSIFICATION AND SAIARY SCHEDULE FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY DIVISION OF THE CITY OF SAN MAFCOS. WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of San Marcos has heretofore established the number of positions, classifications and salary-in-grade for civil service p=r- sonnel in the Public Safety Department; and I WHEREAS, certain of these classifications and salaries have been altered; now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MAFCOS, TEXAS: Part 1. That Section 'l\o.D of that ordinance of the City of San Marcos, Texas, duly passed and approved on the 23rd day of February, 1976, as set out in Vol\.lll\E! 45, page 209 of the ~tinutes of the City Council of San Marcos, as amended by thilt ordinance duly passed and approved on the 16th day of May, 1977,: as set out in Volume '12-, page ~ of the Minutes of the City Council of San Marcos, which ordinances provide for position classifications and salary-.in-grade for Civil S,~- vice personnel .in the Public Safety Department be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2: That there is hereby enacted a new Section 2-3il of Division 1, Article III, Chapter 2 of said Code which shall read as follows: Section 2-31. Job Classification and Salary. Pursuant to Section 8, Article 126m, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas (1925), now, and as hereafter amended, the following job classifications, number of positions .in each classification, and respective salary schedules shall be implanented into the Public Safety Division of the City of San Marcos.
