<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />63 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1977-25 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, ENTITLED <br />WATER AND SEWER AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL, BY DELETING <br />THE PRESENT SECTIONS 30-2(b) AND 30-3(b) OF <br />ARTICLE I THEREOF; SUBSTITUTING NEW SECTIONS UNDER <br />THE SAME NUMBERS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />That the present Section 30-2(b) of Article I of Chapter 30 of the Code <br />of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas be deleted and an entirely new <br />section under the same number be substituted therefore, so that said section <br />shall hen~e forth read as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 30-2. Water Tap Fees. <br /> <br />(b) The cost of connection to the City water system shall be as follo'ws: <br /> <br />(1) Five-eighths (5/8) inch meter--two hundred and fifty dollars <br />($250.00) <br /> <br />(2) Above fiv.e-eighths (5/8) inch--the actual cost of installation <br />to the City plus ten per cent (10%) or two hundred and fifty <br />dollars ($250.00), whichever is greater. <br /> <br />(3) Subdividers, who, at their own costtand :without' expense to <br />the City, dedicate rights-of-way and construct storm sewers, <br />drainage ditches, sanitary sewers, water mains and water lines <br />of such a size as to adequately serve an area being subdivided <br />in accordance with the ,Subdivision Ordinance, as codified in <br />appendix C of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances shall be <br />exemptedffrom the costs of connection to the City water system <br />as set out in paragraphs (1) and (2) of this Section. <br /> <br />Such subdividers shall, however, pay to'cthe City the amount <br />of fifty dollars ($50.00) for the installation of each water <br />meter required by the City. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />That the present Section 30-3(b) of Article I of Chapter 30 of the Code <br />of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, be deleted and an entirely new <br />section under the same number be substituted therefore, so that said section <br />shall henceforth read as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 30-3. Sewer Tap Fees. <br /> <br />(b) The cost for a sewer service connection from the main to the property <br />line shall be as follows: <br /> <br />(1) Four (4) inch connection--two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00)" <br /> <br />(2) Six (6) inch or larger connection--the actual cost of installation <br />to the City plus ten per cent (10%) or two hundred and fifty <br />dollars ($250,00), whichever is greater. <br /> <br />(3) Subdividers, who, at their own cost and without expense to <br />the City, dedicate rights-of-way and construct storm sewers, <br />drainage ditches, sanitary sewers, water mains and water lines <br />of such a size as to adequately serve an area being subdivided <br />in accordance with the Subdivision Ordinance, as codified in <br />Appendix C of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances, shall be <br />exempted from the costs for a sewer service connection from <br />the main to the property line as set out in paragraphs (l~ <br />and (2) of this section. <br />
