<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />70, <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1976 - 25 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF FRANCISCA <br />CU$Z FOR THE PURCHASE OF LOT 14, BLOCK 5 OF THE <br />C,D, WALLACE SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A <br />WARRANTY DEED TO SAID BIDDER ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, IN TRUST, FOR ITSELF, THE <br />STATE OF TEXAS, THE COUNTY OF HAYS, AND THE SAN <br />MARCOS CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos acquired all that right, <br />title, and ~nterest, conveyed by Sheriff's Deed, dated March 24, <br />1962, in and to Lot 14, Block 5 of the C.D, Wallace Subdivision <br />of the City of San Marcos, as trustee for itself, the State of <br />Texas, the County of Hays, and San Marcos Consolidated Indepen- <br />dent School District; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the former owners of said lot did not redeem it <br />within the statutory period allowed; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to return this propeI'ty <br />to private ownership; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid by Francisca Cruz was the highest and best <br />responsible bid; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, , <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That the bid of Francisca Cruz in the amount of <br />$2025.00 for Lot 14, Block 5 of the C.D. Wallace Subdivision of <br />the City of San Marcos, be accepted as the highest and best <br />responsible bid. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Dr. <br />Emmie Craddock, be, and is hereby authorized to execute a warranty I <br />deed to Francisca Cruz for Lot 14, Block 5 of the C.D. Wallace <br />Subdivision of the City of San Marcos, on behalf of the City of <br />San Marcos, in trust for itself, the State of Texas, the County <br />of Hays, and the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School <br />District. <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
