ORDINANCE NO. 1975 - 14 I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES ; EN1JITLED,; "TRAFFIC " , BY ADDING TO ARTICLE IV, ENTITLED "OPERATION OF VEHICLES GENERALLY" A NEW SECTION NUMBERED 29-99, ENTITLED "ONE WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS", ESTABLISHING DIRECTIONAL TRAFFIC IN ONE DIRECTION ON ENUMERATED STREETS; BY ADDING TO ARTICLE V, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES", NEW SECTIONS NUMBERED 29-118, 29-119, AND 29-120, ENTITLED "YIELD SIGNS", "STOP SIGNS", AND "NO PARKING ANYTIME", RESPECTIVELY, ESTABLISHING THOSE INTERSECTIONS TO BE CONTROLLED BY YIELD SIGNS ANDSTOPSIGNSUAND,'AREAS,ALONGcPUBLIC,STREETS WHERE CURB PARKING IS PROHIBITED; BY ADDING TO ARTICLE IV, ENTITLED "SPEED REGULATIONS", NEW SECTIONS NUMBERED 29-130 AND 29~13l, ENTITLED "DECREASED SPEED LIMITS" AND "INCREASED SPEED LIMITS", RESPECTIVELY, BY DESIGNATING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF ENUMERATED STREETS FOR SAID DECREASED AND INCREASED SPEED LIMITS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: Section 1. That Chapter 29, entitled "Traffic", Article IV, entitled "Operation of Vehicles Generally", be amended by adding a new number 29-99, entitled "One Way Streets and Alleys" so as to read as follows: Sec. 29-99. One-way streets and alleys. In accordance with the terms of this chapter and when properly signposted, traffic shall move only in the direction indicated upon the following streets and alleys: I Post Office Alley, from Comal Street t'o Hutchison Street - North. Guadalupe' Street, from Colorado Street to Grove Street - South. L.B.J. Drive, from Grove Street to Colorado Street ~ North. Grove Street, from Guadalupe Street to L.B.J. Drive - East. Section 2. That 'Chapter 29, entitled "Traffic", Article V, entitled "Traffic- Control Devices", be amended by adding a new number 29-118, entitled "Yield Signs", so as to read as follows: Sec. 29-118. Yield Signs. In accordance with the provisions of this chapter, drivers sball yield the right-of-way to other vehicles as herein required: INTERSECTION DIRECTION OF APPROACH I Clara Street and Belvin Street . . . .
