<br />~ <br /> <br />194 <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1975-16-R <br /> <br />ORDER DECLARING RESULT OF CITY OFFICERS' ELECTION <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS I <br />THE COUNTY OF HAYS I <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ON THIS THE 2nd day of April, 1975, <br />T~xas, convened in Special Session, <br />thereof, with the following members <br /> <br />the City Council of the City af San Marcos, <br />open to the public at the regular meeting place <br />present, to-wit: <br /> <br />Emmie Craddock, Mayor <br />Ted Breihan, Councilman <br />Bill Dibrell, Councilman <br /> <br />John Hansen, Councilman <br />Kenneth E. Suttan, Councilman <br />Doriss Hambrick, City Secretary <br /> <br />and the following absent: William L. Cunningham, Councilman, and Luciano H. <br />Flores, Councilman, <br /> <br />constituting a quorum, and among other proceedings had were the following: <br /> <br />Councilman Hansen introduced a Resolution and Order and moved its adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Dibrell, and the motion carrying with it the <br />adoption of the Resolution and Order prevailed by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYE: Breihan, Dibrell, Craddock, Hansen, Sutton <br />NAY: None. <br /> <br />The Resolution is as 'fo11aws: <br /> <br />There came to be considered the returns of an election held on the 1st day af <br />April, 1975, for the purpose of electing the hereinafter named officials, and <br />it appearing from said returns, duly and legally made, that there were cast at <br />said election 2621 valid and legal votes; that each of the candidates in said <br />election received the fo11awing votes: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />FOR COUNCILMAN, PLACE 4 <br /> <br />NAME OF CANDIDATE <br /> <br />TOTAL NUMBER OF VOTES RECEIVED <br /> <br />Charles R. Caffey <br /> <br />953 <br /> <br />Frank T. Arredondo <br /> <br />1312 <br /> <br />Stanley Hughson <br /> <br />285 <br /> <br />FOR COUNCILMAN, PLACE 5 <br /> <br />Sammie L.C. Hardeman <br /> <br />755 <br /> <br />Emmie Craddock <br /> <br />1586 <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />That said election was duly called; that notice of said election was given in <br />accordance with law, and that said election was held in accordance wit~ law, and <br />that Frank T. Arredondo was duly elected Councilman, Place 4 of said City at said <br />election, and that Emmie Craddock was duly elected Councilman, Place 5, and said <br />above named parties are hereby declared duly elected to said respective offices, <br />subject to the taking of their oaths as provided by the laws of the State af Texas. <br />
