<br />8 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1975-17-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, COMMENDING THE ELECTION OFFICIALS SERVING IN THE <br />REGULAR CITY'OFFICERST ELECTION APRIL 1, 1975. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an election Was held by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Texas, on April 1, 1975 for the purpose of election two members to the <br /> <br />City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the official canvass of the Regular Election held on April 2, 1975, <br /> <br />revealed the official records as compiled by the various election officials of <br /> <br />said election to be in compliance with the laws of the State of Texas and <br /> <br />the Charter of the City of San Marcos; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a total forty-three citizens of San Marcos participated as election <br /> <br />officials, spending four hundred seventy-three combined hours at the polls on <br /> <br />the day of the election as well as countless hours beforehand in preparation; <br /> <br />now, therefore., <br /> <br />BE'IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />That the officials of the Regular City Election held April 1, 1975, be <br /> <br />commended for their competent, fair, and efficient conduct of said election <br /> <br />as well as for their willingness to contribute their time and expertise to <br /> <br />the community. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on this the 14th day of April, 1975. <br /> <br />~,~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ATT~ST: , ~' , <br />&// '-1', <br />',' ~~ <br />ariss Hambrick <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />:;;;D~ <br /> <br />Tom Akins <br />City Attorney <br />
