69 <br /> <br />RESOID~ION 1981-14R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A LEASE OF A <br />PORTION OF SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT TO <br />LONGHORN CORVETTE CLUB, INC. FOR THE PURPOSE <br />OF CONDUCTING TIMED CONTESTS FOR AUTOMOBILES <br />DESIGNED TO TEST DR~VING SKILL, AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas <br />desires to lease a portion of San Marcos Municipal Airport to <br />Longhorn Corvette Club, Inc., and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Longhorn Corvette Club, Inc. desires to lease a' <br />portion of said Airport for the purpose of conducting timed con- <br />tests for automobiles designed to test driving skill; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the San Marcos Airport Commission has recommended <br />approval of said lease; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN M~RCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1. That the lease agreement between the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas and Longhorn Corvette Club, Inc for a portion of San <br />Marcos Municipal Airport for the purpose of conducting timed con- <br />tests for automobiles designed to test driving skill, a copy of <br />said lease being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all <br />intents and purposes, be, and the same is hereby, approved in all <br />respects. <br /> <br /> PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />Kenneth V. Kraus, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said <br />lease agreement on behalf of said city. <br /> <br /> PART 3.
