<br />81 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1974-5-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AND ORDER ESTABLISHING PROCEDURE <br />FOR THE REGULAR CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD <br />APRIL 2, 1974. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Texas provide that on April 2, 1974, <br />there shall be elected the following officials for this city: <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN, PLACE 1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN, PLACE 2 <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN, PLACE 3 <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN, PLACE 5 (Unexpired Term); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of San Marcos <br />provide for the submission of the following propositions: <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NUMBER ONE <br /> <br />FOR: REMOVING THE RESTRICTION FOR PARK LAND USE ONLY FROM THE TRACT <br />OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE MEMORIAL PARK BASEBALL FIELD <br />SITUATED ADJACENT TO ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH SO AS TO MAKE <br />THIS SITE AVAILABLE FOR A CITY HALL; SAID LAND BEING MORE <br />PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at an iron pipe being a corner of a 53.8 acre tract <br />out of the J.M. Veramendi League No. Two being situated on the <br />east side of the San Marcos River, said iron pipe bears N 440 <br />13' E 827.3 feet from an iron pipe at the head of a ravine; <br /> <br />THENCE south 410 21' east an approximate distance of 672.0 feet <br />to a point on the northwest right-of-way line of thl!(M.K.T. Railroad; <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />THENCE with the curving line of said right-of-way an approximate <br />distance of 940.0 feet to a point on the northeast line of said <br />53.8 acre tract deeded to the San Marcos Memorial Recreation Park <br />by Victor W. and Ruth Munk'as recorded in Volume 114, Page 190, <br />Hays County Deed Records; <br /> <br />THENCE with the northwest line of said 53.8 acre tract north 450 <br />55' west an approximate distance of 153.0 feet to a point on the <br />south right-of-way line of Ranch Road No. 12, also known as Hopkins <br />Street, at approximately Enginner's Station 95+88; <br /> <br />THENCE following the curving line of said Ranch Road 12 right-of-way <br />in a westerly direction an approximate distance of 1050.0 feet <br />to a point a't approximately Engineer's Station 85+12; <br /> <br />THENCE ~outh 410 21' east an approximate distance of 148.0 feet <br />to the POINT OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />AGAINST: <br /> <br />REMOVING THE RESTRICTION FOR PARK LAND USE ONLY FROM THE TRACT <br />OF LAND . COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE MEMORIAL PARK BASEBALL FIELD <br />SITUATED ADJACENT TO ST.
