<br />89 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1974 - 11 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE ORDER AND RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING <br />PROCEDURE FOR THE REGULAR CITY ELECTION BY ADDING TO THE <br />BALLOT ELECTION OF COUNCILMAN, PLACE 5, TO FILL THE <br />UNEXPIRED TERM OF EDDY A. ETHEREDGE, COUNCILMAN, PLACE 5; <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that Eddy A. Etheredge has offered his <br />resignation as Councilman, Place 5, by announcing his candidacy for <br />County Judge, Hays County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide for the election of a <br />successor to fill the unexpired term for Councilman, Place 5, as provided <br />by State Constitution and City Charter; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Part 1. That the Order Establishing Procedure for the Regular City Election <br />passed by the City Council of said City in Special Meeting of February 18, <br />1974, be, and is hereby, amended by adding to the ballot election of <br />Councilman, Place 5, to fill the unexpired term of Eddy A. Etheredge, Councilman, <br />Place 5. <br /> <br />Part 2.
